Chinese Smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched a new
Smartphone in India, the Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime. The Redmi Note Prime comes
with a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display with 178 degree viewing angle.
As a part of the Make in India campaign, Xiaomi is
manufacturing the Redmi Note Prime Smartphone in India, the Smartphone is being
manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh in partnership with Foxconn Technology
Group.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note Prime is powered by
Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit chipset (quad core Cortex-A clocked @1.2 GHz)
with Adreno 306 GPU. It packs 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB internal storage
expandable up to 32 GB with microSD card.
The Xiaomi Smartphone is equipped with a 13 MP rear
camera with LED flash capable of shooting 1080p videos @30 fps and a 5 MP front
facing camera. The Smartphone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat based MIUI v7 OS.
Connectivity options includes dual SIM, 4G LTE, 3G
HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0 LE, GPS with A-GPS and it packs a
3100 mAh removable battery unit. The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime comes in White
colour and it is priced at Rs. 8,499. The Smartphone will be available exclusively
on Amazon.in and MI.com.
