The iPhone 5S was launched in India by Apple with a price tag of Rs. 53,500 for the 16 GB variant, earlier on September Apple reduced the price of iPhone 5S to Rs. 47,000 and now it is priced at Rs. 24,999.
This is by far one of the lowest price for iPhone 5S globally, the iPhone 5S also is the highest selling Apple device in India, As stated by Times of India reports, Indian retailers claim that iPhone 5S accounts for nearly 50% of the total iPhone sales in country.
It can be said that Apple is targeting the midrange Smartphone market in India and with the latest slash in the price it is pretty safe to assume that Apple will be more successful in competing with the other brands in India under 25k price range.
The price of Rs. 24,999 is the market price of iPhone 5S, but you can grab in under 22,000 at various online retailers. Flipkart is selling iPhone 5S 16 GB at Rs. 21,928 and Amazon India and Snapdeal is offering the iPhone 5S 16 GB model at Rs. 21,499 and eBay India is offering it in Rs. 20,900 only.
